Transkriptor alternatives for subtitle and transcript delivery

VideoText editorial team · October 25, 2026 · 4 min read

Summary

  • Transkriptor is a meeting and file transcription service. Its pricing page lists Lite at $9.99 a month (300 minutes), Pro at $19.99 a month (2,400 minutes) and Team at $30 per seat a month (3,000 minutes per seat).
  • It exports TXT, SRT and Word and lists 100+ languages for recording and translation, plus a meeting bot for Zoom, Meet and Teams.
  • If your output is subtitle files or client-formatted transcripts, also compare SRT repair, reading-speed limits and style-guide formatting. That is where VideoText focuses.

Transkriptor is built for people who record meetings and want searchable notes, summaries and transcripts. Its plans are priced by monthly minutes. If you deliver subtitles or transcripts to clients, the question is less about minutes and more about what happens after the draft: does the SRT pass the client's checks, and does the transcript follow their style guide?

Transkriptor plans, from its pricing page

Plan Monthly price Minutes per month Notable additions
Lite $9.99 300 Upload multiple files, edit, translate, share

The page also lists bulk packages (for example, 100 hours at $60 a month) and a 50% education discount. Its FAQ says unused minutes expire after one month, and the cancellation steps mention a "Free - 90 Minutes" plan option. Source: Transkriptor pricing page, October 25, 2026.

Where Transkriptor is strong

How the VideoText workflow handles delivery

Subtitles. Create an SRT with Video to SRT, or start from one you already have. Fix Subtitles then ends cues before the next one starts, keeps lines to 42 characters on at most two lines, and gives cues over 20 characters per second more time where the next cue allows. Anything it cannot repair safely is listed with its location for you to fix by hand. Checking needs no account. A free account shows what it found and lets you fix and download, with two short VideoText watermark cues in each free SRT or VTT download. Pro removes the watermark and adds cue editing and PDF/Word export.

Transcripts. Guideline Format reads the client's guide (PDF, DOCX or TXT) and applies its rules for verbatim level, speaker labels and tags. Edits it is unsure of are flagged for you to accept or reject, and you can export whatever state the transcript is in.

Plan. VideoText Pro is $14.99 a month or $120 a year. It includes 30 hours of speech a month, files up to 4 hours, speaker labels, client formatting and watermark-free exports. See VideoText pricing.
